Worthless Tire & Wheel Warranty from IAS, Innovative Aftermarket Systems
NOT Resolved, and will never be. Scam & a Rip-Off.
I have a GMC Envoy that I purchased from my local GMC Dealership, and sold me a $500 warranty on my tires & wheels. I was in Indiana working and the roads up there are full of pot holes, which in turn damaged my tires (delamination of tread), cuts on the outer and inner most tread.
I took my vehicle to my local dealership, where I purchased the vehicle, who took the tread measurments of 6/32, 5/32 & 2/32 (from center of tire to outer of tire). My claim was denied stating the damage was not due from a road hazard, and the tread depth of 2/32 was not covered, as it was "uneven tread depth, which was a manufactures defect, not do to road hazard.
First of all, one thing has nothing to do with the other (tread depth versus cut & delamination of the outer and inner tread). No curbs were hit, wheels are perfect with no damage, alignment is good as well. Now, if a tire hits a pothole, the inner and outer tread @ the sidewall would take the most impact, period!
This warranty company makes a "quick to deny" assumption, without even seeing the tire damage.
And as far as the difference in tread depth, this is normal for tire wear, due to turning and not driving straight all the time (to go from point A to point B, and back to point A, you have to be turning the vehicle around), exit left, exit right, turn left, turn right........constant turning of the tires....wears out the outer tread more-so. Now when the center of the tread is 6/32, this is NOT??? meeting the criteria of the contract???
This contract is too general and broad, and does not state specifics. This contract and company (IAS) is a scam, and there should be a class action law suit against them, period!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $600.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Innovative Aftermarket Systems Cons: Scam.
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Yes they are definitely a scam I'm going to cancel them tomorrow. The stupid rep thought I wouldn't be able to cancel since the dealership is no longer there but I spoke to the people who steal have my paperwork and they told me I can come in and cancel those lying idiots.
